Senior Developer / Technical Lead — AI R&D & Japan Projects

• Own the technical work end-to-end — design system architecture, review code, and lead technical quality across projects from R&D through production. You own the core technical decisions and are accountable for the codebase you design.
• Drive AI research & applications — work on R&D topics around AI / large language models, from prototype to product. Each topic may require a different technical approach, so you must be ready to learn quickly and pick the right tools for the problem.
• Lead projects & work with Japanese clients — define scope (SOW / DoD) with the team, coordinate progress, and talk directly with Japanese clients to ensure solutions fit their business. You are the bridge between client requirements and technical delivery.
• Mentor & level up the team — guide junior / middle developers, build technical standards and a review culture, and help the whole team grow.
• Learn and select new technology — each topic may require different techniques; you should be ready to learn new tools and propose the right technology for each problem.
• Technical stack (varies by topic — requires the ability to learn new technology fast): primary language Python (plus others depending on the project); AI/ML using common community deep-learning frameworks + libraries, large language model APIs or open-source models, vector databases, RAG / agent frameworks; cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure) + containers; relational and vector databases.

• Computer Science background (university degree in IT, computer science or equivalent) or clear hands-on AI / ML engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of software development experience, including experience owning architecture or leading technically.
• Ability to learn new technology fast — self-research and prototype with new libraries / frameworks within days, since R&D topics frequently require experimenting with new technology.
• Leadership aptitude (lead / PMO) — able to break down requirements, define scope, coordinate work, and communicate clearly with both the team and clients.
• Strong Python — write production Python; understand the common library ecosystem.
• Good English reading comprehension — read technical documentation and articles fluently.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, proactive, high sense of ownership.

• Japanese (conversation / document reading) — a strong advantage when working directly with Japanese clients.
• Experience working with Japanese clients or in a Labo / quasi-delegation contract model.
• Experience as a Team Lead / Tech Lead / PMO.
• Experience deploying systems on cloud infrastructure.
• Experience building production systems with large language models.

Up to 40 million VND/month (negotiable based on ability) + performance and year-end company results bonuses
